Thanks to the generous support of the South Peninsula Hospital Foundation, our co-sponsors: City of Homer, South Peninsula Behavioral Health Services, SVT Health & Wellness & SPARC, and with the SPH Rehabilitation Services Department’s assistance we are able to make Homer Steps Up! 2020 happen in spite of all the complications and difficulties of COVID-19.

We have rescheduled the challenge for JUNE 1 – 28, 2020.

Please enroll and join your team, start a team (of 5-24 members for the small team division or 25+ for the big team division), or join “Community Team” if you just want to participate as an individual!

Trophies – Winning small team (5-24 members) and winning big team (25+ members) will be awarded the small and big Homer Steps Up traveling trophies to display for the year!

End of Challenge Prizes:
3 $300 winners drawn randomly from walkers of 300K total steps or more
3 $200 winners drawn randomly from walkers of 200K-299,999 total steps
3 $100 winners drawn randomly from walkers of 100k-199,999 total steps

Winners will be drawn randomly from the following weekly step totals for increasing amounts of Homer Bucks!
75,000 or more weekly steps
50K-74,999 weekly steps
25K-49,999 weekly steps

2019 Community Walking Challenge Results

Homer Steps Up! 2019 was an amazing success thanks to all who participated!

We not only reached our community goal of 100 million steps together in the month of May – we reached 110 million steps!

The winning teams are The City of Homer Team with a team score of 311,756 (actual total steps of 16,835,327 between 54 members!) and the M&M&M’s – a team of staff & families from Paul Banks Elementary School with a team score of 347,125 (actual total steps of 3,818,374 between 11 members).

Thank you to all the teams who participated, and everyone who participated as an individual stepper – we will see you next year!
