We know that healing is about more than good care – it’s about your entire experience, so we try to make everyone as comfortable as possible before, during and after your visit. Whether you are here for care, to visit a loved one or discuss your plan for care, we strive to make your visit as easy as possible. Instructions and information may vary from department to department, so be sure to follow any specific instructions you received from your provider in advance of your visit.
The Campus and Environment
The upper level main entrance is open 24/7 and the hospital’s lower level Entrances B and C are open Monday – Friday 7am-6pm. A Security Desk is just inside the hospital’s main lobby where you will find security staff to ensure your visit or stay is safe. Feel free to ask them for assistance as needed as they like to be helpful!
We are a tobacco-free campus, which means tobacco products are not permitted on hospital operated grounds.
Parking is free, but very limited, especially during the lunch hour. You are encouraged to arrive early to any appointment to give ample time to find parking. Parking lots are designated on the campus map.
The Serenity Garden is outside the main entrance, on the upper level, and offers a spectacular flower garden, multiple benches and beautiful views of the bay and mountains.
The Reflection Room is near the cafeteria and coffee shop on the lower level, use Entrance B. It is a non-denominational space to pause, meditate, pray or grieve. It’s padded seating and calm environment will provide a nice respite from the day. It does need an escort during evening hours, so simply ask security to accompany you.
The Gift Shop is located at the main entrance on the upper level and is open 10am-3pm Monday through Friday. The gift shop is managed by the SPH Auxiliary, and all proceeds benefit the patients and residents at SPH.
Dining and Refreshments
The Cafeteria is located on the lower level of the hospital (Entrance B) and is open Monday through Friday from 7am-10am and 11am-1:30pm. On the weekends, the cafeteria is closed to the public. The cafeteria serves hot meals, salad bar, soup and made to order sandwiches, for dine-in or to-go. Family meals can be ordered for breakfast and dinner through forms found in the patient rooms or by asking any nursing staff. The cafeteria is open for breakfast, and for complimentary coffee and teas between meals, and as place to sit and rest.
Wellbean Coffee is located just outside the cafeteria. It opens at 7:00am and does last call for orders at 2:00pm, Monday-Friday. Ordering in advance is encouraged, and can be done by calling 907-299-8350. See resource menu on this page.
Vending machines are stocked daily and offer snacks, sandwiches, soups and beverages. They are available 24/7 and are located on the upper level in the hallway near the elevators and the Acute Care Nurses Station.
Please help yourself to a cup of coffee from any of the coffee stations located in clinic or department waiting rooms.
