South Peninsula Hospital adopted Epic, a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in 2025. This EHR links all hospital departments and clinics at South Peninsula Hospital and beyond. So no matter where you are seen at SPH, your team will have access to your medical records. No more faxing, carrying, or mailing. And if you visit a provider elsewhere in Alaska or beyond who uses Epic, they will be able to access your information, with your permission, of course.

The patient portal with Epic is MyChart. MyChart offers online prescription refills, reviewing lab and test results, viewing your medical history, contacting your care team, reviewing your statements, paying your bill online and more.

If you already have a MyChart account but have not been seen at SPH, sign in and add South Peninsula Hospital as a provider to your existing account.

Most medical records were carried forward when the new EHR was launched, but not everything is visible in your portal. If you need to access medical records from visits prior to August, 2025 that are not showing in your portal, please contact the Release of Information office at (907) 235-0232 or roi@sphosp.org. The hospital patient portal from prior years remains accessible, MyCare Corner, though the Athena portal of the clinics has been closed.
