Our Performance
Quality and patient safety are the cornerstones of the performance at South Peninsula Hospital. South Peninsula Hospital has been three times named a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital out of more than 1,300 critical access hospitals nationwide. We regularly receive a five-star rating in the Medicare Hospital Compare quality monitoring survey about patient care, which in 2023 made it the only hospital of 25 in the state of Alaska that year with a five star rating based on Medicare patient surveys.
We’re proud of the work we’re doing, and our patients usually agree. Patient satisfaction surveys repeatedly acknowledge the outstanding personal care provided by our staff. But we know there is always room for improvement. Please complete the satisfaction survey you receive after your visit, and don’t hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do better by contacting quality@sphosp.org or leave a message on the patient feedback line at (907) 235-0874.
