Rehabilitation Relocates
After many decades of offering physical, occupational and speech therapies under one roof at South Peninsula Hospital, the Rehabilitation Department will be relocating on Tuesday, September 24 to two different locations.
The doors will open at 3726 Lake Street for outpatient orthopedic, physical and occupational therapy, primarily offering treatments as follows: orthopedic (shoulder, hip, knee, back, neck, ankle, foot etc.); post-surgery; hand therapy; pelvic floor; lymphedema; vertigo.
The services at the hospital at 4300 Bartlett Street will be at a new location on the lower level of the building. This is a temporary move while infrastructure repairs and needs are addressed. Rehabilitation services at this location will include speech therapy (for adult and children); pediatric occupational and physical therapy; individuals receiving multiple therapies after a stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s, neurological, etc.; acute care patients and nursing home residents; job function testing/pre-work screenings and functional capacity evaluations.
Appointment location will be determined by one’s individual need and provider expertise. You will be informed of the location for your care when you make your appointment. For additional information please call (907) 235-0370.
