The backbone support provided includes the ongoing collection of community-level data, convening shared discussions to prioritize issues for action, and empowering community members to build on their strengths and employ a collective impact process to achieve goals. Health is defined broadly to include physical, mental, economic, educational, cultural, and environmental health.
