Low Cost Blood Tests offered as part of annual Rotary Health Fair

The 37th annual Rotary Health Fair, sponsored by Homer Kachemak Bay rotary Club in cooperation with South Peninsula Hospital, will be a combination of in-person and virtual offerings in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The very popular low-cost health screening blood tests will be offered by appointment Monday through Friday, 7:30am-10:30am from October 12-November 6. Appointments and payments must be made on line in advance. Walk-in and same day appointments are not offered this year due to necessary space restrictions for maintaining physical distancing. Masks will be required, as will covid-19 screening questions.

Low-cost comprehensive blood analysis is available for only $55, the same price as last year and at a sizeable discount from the average cost of a comparable test. In addition to the basic panel, additional tests are available for purchase at special health fair rates, including prostate, thyroid, vitamin D, hemoglobin a1c, cardiac CRP, thyroid free T4, testosterone and hepatitis C.

Appointments can be made at www.rotaryhealthfair.org or by calling the health fair hotline at 399-3158.

In lieu of an in-person one day fair, exhibitors will be encouraged to offer various health screenings and services at their locations between October 12 and November 6, and numerous online educational offerings will take place. All offerings can be found at www.rotaryhealthfair.org or on the Rotary Health Fair Facebook Page. Offerings will be updated as they become available, and exhibitors can still participate by registering on the site in the “exhibitor” section.
