38th Annual Rotary Health Fair Blood Tests

38th Annual Rotary Health Fair Blood Tests

November 1, 2021

The 38th annual Rotary Health Fair, sponsored by Homer-Kachemak Bay Rotary Club in cooperation with South Peninsula Hospital, will be conducted under the same COVID-safe protocols as last year and feature two exciting online presentations. New this year are flu shots, available at the time of your appointment!
The very popular low-cost health screening blood tests will be offered by appointment Monday through Friday, 7:30am-10:30am from October 11-November 5.
Appointments and payments must be made online in advance. The dedicated, separate location on the South Peninsula Hospital campus will be clearly marked and you will receive instructions upon making your appointment.
Walk-in and same day appointments are not offered this year due to necessary space restrictions for maintaining physical distancing. Masks will be required, as will COVID-19 screening questions.
Low-cost comprehensive blood analysis is available for only $55, the same price as last year and at a sizeable discount from the average cost of a comparable test. In addition to the basic panel, additional tests are available for purchase at special health fair rates, including prostate specific antigen, thyroid stimulating hormone, vitamin D level, hemoglobin A1C, cardiac CRP, thyroid free T4, testosterone and hepatitis C screenings.
Appointments can be made at www.rotaryhealthfair.org

“Practical Coping Tools for Troubled Times” – online presentation and Q&A with Dori Hagen, Licensed Professional Counselor

Dori Hagen, LPC is a licensed professional counselor practicing in Homer. She will be sharing some strategies and resources that may help you with the “pandemic fatigue” of the last 18 months, as well as interpersonal conflicts and increases in mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and substance use.

Message from Dori: “I am honored to spend some time with you this November.  There is an old proverb that says, “hope deferred makes the heart sick.”  It is my heart’s desire that time spent with you can bring a ray of hope that has been difficult or impossible to see.”

Online presentations will be 30 minutes with additional time for questions and sharing as needed. Questions may also be submitted anonymously to wellness@sphosp.org in advance.

Join live on Facebook  for multiple chances to win prizes just for attending or asking questions!

Presentations will be recorded.
