Walk with a Doc! Homer returns to 2 walks per month! First walk: Dr. Paula Godfrey

    September 7, 2019

Walk with a Doc returns on the first and third Saturdays of each month, with our “reunion Walk” on Saturday, September 7th from 9AM-10AM at SPARC (South Peninsula Athletic & Recreation Center) with Paula Godfrey, DO (SPH Emergency Department).  Dr. Godfrey will tell us about “Stop the Bleed” and what to do in a bleeding emergency, and we’ll spend the rest of the hour walking, asking questions, getting free blood pressure screenings and more!

Please bring your clean, indoor walking shoes to change into!

Walk with a Doc is a walking program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle. What better way to start your weekend than on your feet making strides to help your heart and improving your general health to live longer!

Walk with a Doc is always free (and fun)!  All are welcome – SPARC is accessible for walking, running, stollers, wheelchairs, walking poles, etc.  All ages and abilities can join us for a healthy Saturday morning activity, with snacks & coffee provided!

Thanks to the generous co-sponsorship of the South Peninsula Hospital Foundation, Walk with a Doc will be offered on the first and third Saturdays of each month from September 7th, 2019 through May 16th, 2020!  You can find out more here, on Facebook, and on our Walk with a Doc national page.

Please contact wellness@sphosp.org or call the SPH Health & Wellness Department at (907) 235-0970 with any questions or suggestions.
